Playing RealMedia file in Linux

If u are in Linux platform and would like to play .rm file, then RealPlayer will be the right choice. Follow the below steps to install RealPlayer 10.

1. Go to the shell konsole
2. Login as a root user by using “su” command (or else use sudo command if you dont know root user password).
3. wget url
4. chmod a+x RealPlayer10GOLD.bin
5. ./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin

Once the installation is done, when u execute the program, it will ask for License agreements and other stuffs for the first time. After successful execution u can use RealPlayer to play .rm, .ra, .rv, .rmvb files. Also it can be used to play .mp3, .3gpp files(mostly used in cellphone cameras) and the open source Audio format Ogg file.

Yahoo’s Open Hack Day @ Bangalore.

If you are a ethical hacker ;) this is the right time to expose ur talent. Yahoo open hack day is scheduled on Oct 5th and 6th of 2007 at The Taj Residency: Bangalore. If u would like to participate register here.

We’ll then dive into 24 hours of hacking on a very nice collection of tools, APIs, and data, and end with awards from the sponsors plus bragging rights until the end of eternity or the next Hack Day, whichever comes first.

India-Pakistan Twenty20 a thriller

Twenty20 Winning moment.

I watched the match with my collegues in our office and I should say its really a heart-stopping thriller.

Initially the match tied at 141 runs and then the result of the clash was decided in a five-ball bowl out. In the bowl-out Virendar Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Robin Uthappa were right on target but none of the Pakistanis could hit the unguarded stumps as India won the bowl-out 3-0 and beat Pakistan in a nail biting finish.

The only consolation for Pakistan is Mohammed Asif was awarded Man of the match. We should not deny the fact that he was quite outstanding with the ball, he did the damage and restricted India to a score of 141 for nine. His spell was quite excellent as he gave only 18 runs and took 4 main wickets.

We are all were excited as the thrilling encounter ended in Indias favour.
